“I wish the world was flat like the old days
Then i could travel just by folding a map
No more airplanes, or speed trains, or freeways
There’d be no distance that could hold us back.”
Death Cab for Cutie - The New Year
Kid Dynamite- Birthday

“We are always the same age inside.”
- Gertrude Stein
goddamn right i said, Gertrude.
Dead Kennedys - police truck
Influences. You gotta admit, East Bay Ray knew how to write a guitar line. No overdubs or multiple tracks, just chords and riffs intertwined and played well. awesome.
the Exit - scream and shout
This is a summery song for me- and it was part of my epic playlist at my wedding.
I <3 the Exit.
I dunno, even if you don’t like rock all that much, you might be dead inside if this doesn’t make you move at least a little.
“We all want you to know- we all, we all want you to know…”
Oh Stephen Pederson, what that junk are you up to?
The first time I saw ATDI was as an opening band on a 3 band bill, and I’d never heard them up to that point. They had just released the Vaya ep.
I can’t tell you how much these guys were a game changer for me. They, without a doubt, redefined what punk meant [or could mean] and what a live performance could be.
A song like Arc Arsenal when played loud still makes me react- I want to equal parts destroy something and create something amazing.
the Bronx - Shitty Future
“We play as hard as we can, for as long we can… which is about 45 minutes until our drummer throws up.” -Joby Ford [guitar]
Small Brown Bike - “sleeping weather”
One of my favorite songs ever.
“This truth be known, I shout it in this song.
My song to say forget where I’ve gone wrong.
Times changed. I’ve changed. Now I feel like my life has changed.”
Direct Hit! - Snickers or Reeses (pick up the pieces)
Fuck you! Get pumped!
You can download the ep from the peeps at Death to False Hope Records. But be nice and donate- don’t be that guy. jerkface.
The Strokes ~ “Under Cover Of Darkness”
Live on SNL.
Love it. Casablancas solo was OK, but strokes = #winning

I’ve been trying to find this clip for awhile. Still haven’t found it hosted in the US because nbc makes sites take it down…
Max Weinberg comes out @ about 2:50 to rock it out.
You just need the proof. Did you fucking get it?
It’s in my eyes …
